Every year, over 3.5 million people are homeless in the United States.
Housing is a human right. The Law Center fights to make it a reality by holding the U.S. accountable to international standards, preventing homelessness for renters, and creating homes and communities for homeless people using surplus government property. In addition, the Law Center fights to prevent economically vulnerable domestic violence survivors from becoming homeless.
The Law Center leverages its legal expertise and the pro bono power of the private bar in its fight to establish a right to housing in the United States. We believe no man, woman, or child should be without a safe place to call home.
